Re: Let's talk about boxes...

I do keep the plastic insert...they're excellent for holding figures when they aren't on display/keeping accessories safe/accounted for...

I'm weird, I don't see the point in keeping the box without the plastic/Styrofoam inserts...

But I see what you did there ;)

Re: An IDW wrap-up

That Bumblebee graphic novel is it's own standalone thing right? They said it. Seems like the stories wrapping up but, oh whose that crashing throught the sky with a fearsome cry? The Beasties? That's how you get your typical goodies vs baddies dynamic back after 6 years of peace time comics, you m...

Re: Let's talk about boxes...

Yeah, I don't display boxes...having this conversation is making me realize how ridiculous it is/I am LOL Me: I want to keep boxes that are pretty. Help me decide which pretty boxes to keep inside other not-pretty boxes/storage bins which will than be buried in my closets, never to see the light of ...

Re: Let's talk about boxes...

I keep the boxes for big, expensive, and/or fragile figures (read: MP and 3P), so I can transport them safely. Regular retail stuff will caaaarefully go in a tub. So I guess maybe get rid of boxes for things you're confident in transporting safely? Oh that is an excellent piece of advice and is def...

Let's talk about boxes...

Okay, as some of you may (or may not!) know, I have been slowly cataloging my robot family on Twitter the past week... One of the main purposes of this has been to jettison some weight (read as: volume) because I am completely out of storage space and (for some reason) I keep buying more robots! I'm...

Re: An IDW wrap-up

I'm not sure how I feel about IDW coming to an "end," but I've actually long expected it... Remember way way way back when (in 2012 or 2013)? There was an interview with James and John about their post-Death of Optimus Prime plans and they both envisioned a 100-issue arc for each book. MTMTE/LL is c...

Re: GCreation Rebel (IDW Prowl)

Yes! Exactly this! I feel like this is almost the "rough draft" of this figure's engineering. After a few production samples were made, rather that tweaking the designs/tolerances, they just said, "Meh. Good enough!"

GCreation Rebel (IDW Prowl)

So I got this boy last night and can I just OOOF! For such a gorgeous figure, that transformation is for masochists (this is from a woman who used to routinely transform her MP-5 Megatron without a single break). Does anyone have any tips? I think I get the legs now (but what a nightmare of a learni...

Re: Lost Light

Just read Lost Light 14. That last panel... I can't... *Bawls her eyes out* It's gonna be okay...it's just like Lost Light #12! It's totally a hologram...or an illusion...or...someone's previously unknown outlier ability? Maybe Red Alert figured out the Necrobot's magic cape and door and...dammit.....

Re: "Masterpiece" combiners

I didn't even think of scramble! I now need any official MP combiners to to be compatible with the other sets! It just got even more complicated!!! And I'm also in for Ironhide as the middle ground bot scale, that should work for most bots. Very excited for GIANT Groove too! :D I think the cool thi...

Re: "Masterpiece" combiners

What a tricky question! I would love to see an official MP combiner as it would be super interesting to see the official take on how to do one. Extra parts? Trying to fit it in to the limbs? Leader bots having the extra parts as part of the alt mode? Most of all I'd be interested to see how they ha...

"Masterpiece" combiners

About a year ago, I started a thread on TFW about what people were "looking for" in a "Masterpiece" combiner...since then, there have been a bunch of new entries in the field (at least on the 3P front) including 2 Superions (Fanstoys & Zeta); 3 Bruticuses...(Brutici?) (MMC/Zeta/Unique Toys); and 2 M...
