All right. I've been thinking about this pretty constantly, and I've come to a decision.
While I edit my prose for YEARS, and have no problem doing it -- I enjoy the editing process, in fact -- I just can't seem to want to edit poems much. I acknowledge that the critiques are sound. But here's the thing: While my prose is an artistic creation that I want to work on till it is as perfect as I can make it, my poetry is a portrait of where I was in a specific moment. And if I edit them into something different, they cease to be meaningful as portraiture. And that makes me sad. I feel like I'm sucking the life out of them.
This is the most trite kind of fallacy, I know.
But I've decided to stick to it in this case.
I'm leaving my poems the way they are.
Because they are alive to me, even in -- and perhaps because of -- their imperfections.

I've recorded SOUND FILES of them both, because, as I mentioned, how they Sound is most important to me.
Here they are;
Let them stand thus for all eternity, that I may one day look back and see how far, perhaps, I've come:

Surrender:Absolution --> ... nished.mp3
Impossible --> ... ant_It.mp3

Again, thanks so much to Va'al and everyone for your time and feedback!

Rumble is red
Frenzy is blue
If you don't agree
That's fine, too
I'm so sorry.
