How long have you been a fan/collector?

I just passed my first anniversary as a Transformers collector - 06th of April 2017 - and wondered how long you good people here have been 'in the game' as it were?

My first Transformer in many years was Apollyon -



Previous to that I think my last Transformer was Metroplex back in the eighties, so I missed everything between then and the tail end of Combiner Wars, but I think I'm well on my way to catching up now...

That's quite the collection after just a year!

My first exposure to TFs was the Road Wrecker Mini-Con Team & Night Attack Mini-Con Team multipack from Energon, and Universe Windrazor. It was the first movie that really got me into the franchise when I was seven, but by the time DotM rolled around I had lost interest. However, during the leadup to AoE I discovered TFWiki.net, rekindled my enjoyment of the hobby, and I haven't left since.

I'll be celebrating my ten year anniversary in 2019, how exciting! Discovered Transformers via the 2007 film but didn't buy my first Transformer - Universe Starscream - until 2008

Since I was a we lad in the 80's with G1 (PM OP was my first real Prime) but it really hit it's stride with G2 and everything every since.

I bought my first 2 Transformers sometime in December of 2006, but I didn't truly start collecting in earnest until around June/July of 2007.

I was familiar with the G1 cartoon/movie and toys as a kid (my brother had a handful of them), but it really wasn't until the 2007 Transformers was being produced that I became the fan that I am today. Almost lost interest in Transformers after the fourth Transformers movie had I not started reading the MTMTE comic in the spring of 2016.

I've been a fan on-and-off since '85. I fell off during my teens, and didn't really latch on properly until about 2013.

I didn't really start collecting (as an adult) until the start of 2015.
